More midweek racing to report on, this time Valley Hill Runners Midsummer Mad Dash.  Thankfully, I don’t have to write anything further about this one as Hannah Helmore (first lady home nonetheless) has written this little report.

A select group of Striders made the short trip to High Green for this 4.6 mile race organised by the very friendly Valley Hill Runners. It was, as advertised, a “tough” trail race with some significant inclines, not helped by the humid conditions. It was nonetheless a very enjoyable run with great marshals and a free buffet at the end. Steve reports that the chocolate cake was very good. Definitely an event to look out for next year

First man home was Joe Fowler of Sheffield RC in 28:53 and as mentioned above, first lady home was our very own Hannah Helmore in 33:30.  A nice evenings work.
