Race Date: Sunday 26th April 2015
No event glues us amatuer runners to the TV like the London Marathon. How many of you sat there yesterday thinking ‘maybe I could do that’?
Sadly, places in the race are at a premium as you only have four real chances to get one:
- Be a good runner; be ‘Good For Age’ (GFA) or have run a Championship Qualifying Time
- Offer to raise thousands of pounds for charity
- Get lucky in the general public ballot
- Or use the Striders London Marathon club ballot to secure your place if you miss out in the general ballot
As we said, you have to be good or get lucky.
This year there were 14 Striders who finished the race from the 38,000 who ran.
Sadly we had a few drop out in the run up, we can only hope they come back next time even stronger.
Some totally amazing performances yesterday, totally inspiring, well done to each and every one of you.
