Race Date: Sunday 19th April 2015

Apparently it’s not called the ‘Hilly Huddersfield’ for nothing and I think Tim Jay can now agree with this. Tim completed his first marathon in Striders colours in the superb time of 4:04:42 which is an fantastic time when you consider the marathon included nearly 3500 feet of climbing. Tim finished 15th out of a field of 62. He states it’s the quickest he’s done a marathon since London in 2004 when he clocked 3:57 so he should be able to knock a significant amount of time off this result when he has the energy to complete a flat marathon. Great performance Tim, well done!

The race was won by Terrence Forrest of the Cairngorm Runners in a time of 2:57:31. First woman home was Beth Taylor Jones of the 100 Marathon Club in 4:03:40
