Three Striders made the journey across the border into West Yorkshire for this fun little charity race hosted by the Kinsley Hotel which also has a 5km fun run. With a couple of ‘significant inclines’ the course was about 50/50 footpath/road which made shoe selection difficult as the rain came down. Nevertheless, resisting the temptation to stay inside drinking beer and eating burgers Jennifer Rich came home as first lady in 41:35, Nick Scott was second man in 38:46 whilst Peter Brown was eighth in 42:35 and probably first M50 by the looks of the other competitors. Prizes of free membership at the local gym were returned to be passed on to somebody who would find it more useful.
