Another trophy for the female Striders!

Emily Hunt finished third lady in the Shrewsbury Half Marathon, or as the 2015 event should be called ‘Almost the Shrewsbury Half Marathon’. An unfortunate marshalling error meant that runners went the wrong way leaving the course half a mile short.

The run starts and finishes at the showground, starting by heading through Shrewsbury town before taking in some of Shropshire’s countryside. It then heads back to the finish taking in some of Shrewsbury’s iconic sights along the way.

An excellent performance for Emily who finished in 1:28:46. The race was won by Dean Bate of Tipton Harries who finished in 1.11:44. The first lady to finish was Jessica Harvey of Telford AC in 1:26:43.
