FACT – Runners like nothing better than a good photograph of themselves in action.
With that in mind, Steel City Striders Running Club are putting out a call for people to bring their cameras along to South Yorkshire’s most popular 10k road race and help us capture the day.
This years Percy Pud is on Sunday 7th December 2014 with a 9:30am start in Loxley, Sheffield.
There are numerous wonderful and picturesque vantage points along the route in the Loxley Valley and around Dam Flask reservoir, so it would be fantastic for you all to snap as many of the 2000 runners as possible.
After the race we intend to collate all the links to your photos and albums (Facebook/Flickr etc) on a single page on the Striders website.
Whilst we can’t offer any financial reward, we can provide you with outstanding exposure for your work through the club website and if you support a particular charity we’d be happy to promote that for you too. We like the idea of raising money for local charities and worthwhile causes if people use your photographs.
So whether you are a professional tog, photography student, member of a photography club, avid amateur or just an enthusiastic spectator we’d love to see what you can come up with.
Other running clubs too, send us your albums links and we’ll include them, the more the merrier.
If you have any questions about taking photos on the day or how to store and present them afterwards, please get in touch with website admin Mick Wall via the contact form.
