Race date: Sunday 5th October 2014
The event is a gruelling 21 mile (1400m of ascent) knockout race through the heart of the Peak District.
Most long distance running events are a battle against the clock, with Red Bull Steeplechase you are racing head to head against the other competitors from steeple to steeple in an effort not to be eliminated and to try and reach the final steeple.
Andy Greenleaf won the mens race in 2:37:23 with Emily Collinge the first lady home in 2:28:29 (4th fastest time of the day)
Two Striders, brave and true took on the challenge.
Andy Davies completed the first 3 stages in 2:51:38 only to miss out on the final stage by 4 minutes. This placed him 38th overall. Sadly, Steve Helmore was eliminated after the 2nd stage for a 119th place finish.
