366 finished the half and 199 the full……. they were obviously not as mentally scared as I by endless 70’s and 80’s summers holidays in this quaint east coast resort.
The half marathon was won by Andrew Grant of Harrogate Harriers in 1:13:52 with Charlie Hayward (unattached) winning the ladies race in 1:28:21.

The full marathon was won by Benjamin Harris of Retford AC in 2:43:21 with Emily Mosedale of Victoria Park Harriers & Tower Hamlets AC winning the womens race in 3:11:44.

The big news from the full marathon result is that Barry Gyte has broken the Striders V60 club record that has stood since 2011 when Dave Parry ran 3:37:37
It must also be noted that David Birch, in running 3:34:05 at Mablethorpe also beat the old record.
