This past weekend it was a hectic time for fell runners with not one but two great local races. First up was round 6 of the Accelerate Gritstone Series the Longshaw Sheepdog Trials. This was a 9.7km / 6m race with around 305m / 1001ft
ascent in it. The winner was Accelerate sponsored athlete Stuart Bond in 39:41. The first female was Clare Oliffe in 52:00.
Striders were out in force for this one and was leg home by Stephen Hargreaves, the full results can be found on the Fellrunner website and photos of the race can be found on the Accelerate facebook page.
