Tideswell Running Club organised the first ever Litton Christmas Cracker Fell Race, a 12.2km (7.6 mile) multi-terrain race on 14 December 2014. The route had 359m/1178 ft of climb making it a category BM race.
Paul Stuart tested it out for the team and said “I was really glad I did Litton. It sort of meanders down to Millers Dale, Cressbrook, Litton mill and just any where nice to look at round there…It’s a real pleasurable race this one with nothing too mental or horrible in”. It sounds like a great one for 2015.
166 runners completed the race. Simon Bailey, Mercia Fell Runners, won the race in 49:49. Olivia Walwyn, Macclesfield Harriers, was the first lady in 59:31. Full results are currently on the FRA forums.
