This past bank holiday Monday was the Chesterfield Community 5k organised by the North Derbyshire RC. The winner was Carl Allwood of Sutton in Ashfield Harriers, race winner in 16:25 who just held off Trenthan RC’s Simon Myatt who finished second in 16:27. The ladies winner was Rotherham Harrier Steph Burns in 17:56 and 11th place overall.

Our club was represented with two Striders making the short journey in glorious bank holiday weather. Craig Shaw posted an impressive 18:42 finishing 13th overall. Michael Twigg was our over runner clocking a time of 20:59.
